EVERY YEAR we do this Scramble Against Cancer, we seem to find more and more people who have been touched in some way by Carl Dean Wilson. He was the musical stage leader, the perfectionist, and the true heart of The Beach Boys — and those of us who had been blessed with the opportunity to meet him truly understand why. As more and more fans learn about our efforts here in Augusta, Michigan, the more this event feels like a tremendous family reunion with folks coming from all over the country to share their stories with other kindred spirits of their unforgettable experiences with Carl. The man with the heart and voice of an angel was truly watching over us this year, as the event went off flawlessly and the weather couldn't have been better for a perfect afternoon of golf at Yarrow Golf & Conference Center.

Larry Rutledge and Dan Vieth want to make sure everyone knows that Dan got the award for closest to the pin and has a shot at that million dollars!
One of our most generous sponsors, Rick Berger, was able to make it this year from Omaha, Nebraska to join in the fun with his daughter Sarah and son Brett.
While the games on the course helped some tremendously, others decided to play it straight and ended up with a little bit more normal scores for a scramble.
After the round, everyone gathered in the dining room to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunshine coming through the windows, providing an atmosphere of pure peace.
